EU Climate Transition Benchmarks – Solactive Interview with Professor Andreas Hoepner, Ph.D.

Recently, the European Commission published the Draft Delegated Regulation on Minimum Standards for EU Climate Benchmarks. Building on recommendations by the EU Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance (TEG), which is an independent expert committee tasked with developing recommendations on sustainability criteria, this publication marks the penultimate step of a two-year process to introduce two new climate-benchmarks aiming to prevent greenwashing and stir capital towards sustainable activities.

We sat down with Professor Andreas G. F. Hoepner, Ph.D., member of the EU Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance (TEG), to talk about his role within the expert group and the main objectives of the two new types of Benchmarks.
