Dirk Urmoneit joins Solactive as Chief Indexing Officer
Solactive is pleased to announce the appointment of Dirk Urmoneit as Chief Indexing Officer, starting on the 1st of July 2018. In this new role, Dirk – formerly Managing Director at J.P. Morgan and before that Goldman Sachs – will assume responsibility for Solactive’s indexing business area. Dirk will join Steffen Scheuble, CEO, Christian Grabbe, COO, and Christian Vollmuth, CRO, in the management board.
Solactive, which celebrated its tenth anniversary last year, has grown to be one of the leading providers in the indexing industry, calculating over 5,500 indices that serve as the basis for an increasing number of financial products traded globally. The recent opening of an office in Toronto – the first overseas – has been another important step of Solactive´s global expansion. The arrival of Dirk Urmoneit is the latest addition to a series of key hires made in the past quarters aimed at supporting and enhancing the company’s growth trajectory.

Before joining Solactive, Dirk Urmoneit worked for J.P. Morgan for two years, serving as Managing Director and Head of Trading EMEA for warrants and certificates in London. His responsibilities included the initial setup of a new trading platform. Before this, Dirk worked for Goldman Sachs for 16 years in Frankfurt and London, covering a number of different roles, most recently Managing Director as the Head of Trading for Securitized Derivatives EMEA.
