Rationale for  Methodology  Change

The Solactive Innovative Technologies Index provides exposure to companies that are involved in innovative and disruptive trends across a broad range of industries,

As these innovative technological trends can change or new trends can arise, as well as Solactive is of the opinion that the most technologically advanced companies should be part of the index, Solactive has decided on the following changes:

  • Changing the theme Name for “Robotics & Automation” to “AI & Robotics”
  • Switching the starting universe for theme “Cloud Computing” to FactSet RBICS related universe
  • Adding new themes “Defense Technology” and “Quantum Computing”
  • Removing ESG exclusion criteria to enable high Innovative technology companies for inclusion to the index
  • Aligning the starting universe to the Solactive Global Benchmarks Series Universe, Developed Markets and Emerging Markets, with the exclusion of Mainland China and India.
