Market Consultation on the Changes in the Solactive Country Classification

Frankfurt, 04 October 2018 – Solactive has decided to conduct a Market Consultation with regard to the reclassification of four countries as a result of the annual review of the Solactive Country Classification. The changes in classification are the following:

Saudi Arabia will be reclassified and included in the list of Emerging Countries.

United Arab Emirates will be reclassified and included in the list of Emerging Countries.

Kuwait will be reclassified and included in the list of Emerging Countries.

Vietnam will be reclassified and excluded from the list of Emerging Countries.

After reviewing the results of the Market Consultation, the final lists of Developed and Emerging Countries will be published. These new lists will become effective as of Selection Days in April 2019 for indices that refer to the Solactive Country Classification as of today.
