Guideline change | Solactive GBP IG Corporate Index| Effective Date 24.09.2019

Today, on the 11^th September 2019, Solactive announces the following changes to the methodology of the following index (the ‘Affected Index’):

Rationale for methodology change

In order to clarify the universe of the eligible bonds, we want to add a sentence to the “Index-specific Definitions” paragraph that explains which callable bond is considered eligible. 

Proposed changes to the Index Guideline

We add to ‘4.1 index-specific definitions, let. (f)’ of the Guideline the following sentences:

“[…]Callable and puttable bonds (bonds with an announced call for the upcoming month are excluded),[…]”

Old version:

“Fixed Coupon Bonds, Zero Coupon Bonds, Payment-In-Kind Bonds and Step-Up Coupon Bonds are eligible for inclusion in the index”.

New version:

“Fixed Coupon Bonds, Zero Coupon Bonds, Callable and puttable bonds (bonds with an announced call for the upcoming month are excluded), Payment-In-Kind Bonds and Step-Up Coupon Bonds are eligible for inclusion in the index”.
