Acquisition | WITAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC | 14th October 2024

On June 26, 2024 ALLIANCE TRUST PLC announced its intention to acquire WITAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC and to form Alliance Witan PLC. WITAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC shareholders approved the scheme at the first meeting on September 30, 2024. WITAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC was suspended from trading on October 1, 2024. On October 9, 2024 WITAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC shareholders approved the scheme at the second general meeting. Ordinary Shareholders who made no Election (or no valid Election) will be deemed to have elected for the default option, being the Rollover Option. Non election Ordinary Shareholders will receive 0.224615 New ATST Shares per share held. In the absence of an active market, the WITAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC last close price will reflect the Deal Terms of the transaction.

The treatment below will be applied to the following indices:

• WITAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC will be removed from the Index.
• The shares of ALLIANCE TRUST PLC (ATST.L) will be increased according to the stock terms of the transaction.
• Effective Date (open): 14/10/2024
