Acquisition | NUVISTA ENERGY LTD | 6th February 2026

Initially announced on November 4, 2025 OVINTIV INC made a cash OR stock offer for NUVISTA ENERGY LTD where NUVISTA ENERGY LTD shareholders can elect to receive (i) CAD 18 in cash, (ii) 0.344 OVINTIV INC Shares,or (iii) a combination thereof, subject to rounding and proration. NUVISTA ENERGY LTD shareholders approved the Acquisition on January 23, 2026. Based on the final election results, shareholders who did not make a valid election will receive 71% of the transaction consideration in cash and 29% in stock. As such, CAD 12.78 cash AND 0.09976 stock terms will be applied. The Acquisition is expected to be completed on February 3, 2026. Trading in shares of NUVISTA ENERGY LTD is expected to be halted within a few days following the closing. In the absence of an active market, the last close price will reflect the Deal Terms of the transaction.

The treatment below will be applied to the following indices:

• NUVISTA ENERGY LTD will be removed from the Index.
• The weight of NUVISTA ENERGY LTD (NVA.TO) based on its last close price will be distributed pro rata to remaining Index constituents.
• Effective Date (open): 06/02/2026
