THE EUROPEAN SMALLER COMPANIES announced Wednesday it will acquire substantially all net assets from EUROPEAN ASSETS TRUST PLC through a scheme of reconstruction, following approval at EUROPEAN ASSETS TRUST PLC General Meeting. Each shareholder of EUROPEAN ASSETS TRUST PLC in case of no election is made will get 0.428444 shares of THE EUROPEAN SMALLER COMPANIES for every share held. In the absence of an active market, the last close price will reflect the Deal Terms of the transaction
The treatment below will be applied to the following indices:
- EUROPEAN ASSETS TRUST PLC will be removed from the Index.
- The weight of EUROPEAN ASSETS TRUST PLC (EUNZ.L) based on its last close price will be distributed pro rata to remaining Index constituents.
- Effective Date (open): 20/10/2025
