Spin Off | LITHIUM AMERICAS CORP | 4th October 2023

On November 3, 2022, LITHIUM AMERICAS CORP announced its plan of arrangement of separation of its business into two independent public companies. The separation will establish two companies, an Argentina focused company called LITHIUM ARGENTINA CORP; an North America focused company called LITHIUM AMERICAS CORP (new). A Shareholder meeting held on July 31, 2023 approved the plan of arrangement. On September 28, 2023 LITHIUM AMERICAS CORP announced that the separation is expected to be completed on October 3, 2023. Under the terms of the Separation, holders of LITHIUM AMERICAS CORP common shares will be entitled to receive one LITHIUM ARGENTINA CORP common share. Subject to confirmation of the NYSE and the TSX, LITHIUM AMERICAS CORP anticipates that regular-way trading of LITHIUM ARGENTINA CORP Shares under the ticker symbol LAAC and LITHIUM AMERICAS CORP Shares under the ticker symbol LAC will begin on the NYSE and TSX at the start of trading on October 4, 2023.

• The spin-off company LITHIUM ARGENTINA CORP will be added to the Index according to the transaction terms.
