Contango & Backwardation Check | Vontobel Oil-Strategy Index | December 2023
Based on the close of the Oil Futures on December 13, 2023 (Selection Date due to exchange holidays on NYSE and Toronto Stock Exchange on December 25th and 26st we are in a Contango situation – therefore, the Vontobel Oil-Strategy Index will be calculated as an Equity Basket investment during the next month.
The following changes will be implemented:
WTI FUTURE FEB 24
will be removed from the index composition.

CHEVRON CORP
CONOCOPHILLIPS
EOG RESOURCES INC
CANADIAN NATURAL RESOURCES
PHILLIPS 66
MARATHON PETROLEUM CORP
PIONEER NATURAL RESOURCES CO
OCCIDENTAL PETROLEUM CORP
VALERO ENERGY
will be added to the index composition.
