Acquisition | HAITONG INTERNATIONAL SECURITIES GROUP LTD | 2nd January 2024

On 26 September 2023, the offeror Haitong International Holdings Limited requested the Board of HAITONG INTERNATIONAL SECURITIES GROUP LTD to put forward the Proposal to the Scheme Shareholders for the privatization of the Company by way of a scheme of arrangement. Each shareholder of HAITONG INTERNATIONAL SECURITIES GROUP LTD will receive 1.52 HKD in cash for every share held. This was approved in the court meeting held on December 15, 2023.The Company applied to the Stock Exchange, and the Stock Exchange granted its approval for the withdrawal of the listing of the Shares on the Stock Exchange. The last trading day of Haitong International Securities Group is expected to be 29 December 2023.

The treatment below will be applied to the following indices:

• HAITONG INTERNATIONAL SECURITIES GROUP LTD will be removed from the Index.
• The weight of HAITONG INTERNATIONAL SECURITIES GROUP LTD (0665.HK) based on its last close price will be distributed pro rata to remaining Index constituents.
• Effective Date (open): 02/01/2024
