Job Overview

We are looking for a resourceful self-starter with a quantitative academic background, professional experience in equity markets, derivatives, or index maintenance, and a curiosity for trends in investing. **Please note we are open to hiring at Senior Associate or Vice President level based on skills and experience.
Your Tasks
  • Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of quantitative equity indices, balancing operational execution with an understanding of the underlying investment strategy to ensure accuracy, stability, and timely delivery across all rebalancing cycles.
  • Execute systematic, rules-based selection and rebalancing of both Solactive and client indices. 
  • Leverage quantitative investment expertise to maintain and implement rules-based methodologies for index selection, weighting, and systematic rebalancing.
  • Act as a key contact for an international client base, including leading investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and trading desks — translating complex quantitative concepts into clear, actionable insights.
  • Enhance and maintain index algorithms within the company’s framework.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in index operations.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, business analysts and developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Your Profile
  • Academic degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Financial Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • At least 6 years of experience in equity markets execution, portfolio management, index management, or in a similar process-driven financial environment, with exposure to quantitative models, portfolio concepts, or systematic investment strategies.
  • Familiarity with quantitative investing concepts, investment strategies, portfolio optimization or a related field.
  • Innovative, analytical thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills, with the ability to clearly explain investment concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple operational cycles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and intercultural competence.
  • Proficiency in Python is required while experience in VBA, MATLAB, or SQL is an asset.
  • Fluency in English.

    Recruiter

    The screening / introduction round is focus on assessment of a candidate's basic qualifications and determine whether (s)he is a good fit for the role and the company.

    Meeting the team

    Hiring manager + team

    The team round is focused on the candidate’s subject-matter know-how and abilities. The interviewer will ask questions specific to the job and the candidate’s prior experience. The candidate will be expected to provide specific examples to demonstrate his/her subject- matter knowledge.

    Task round

    From the hiring manager + team

    This one is an optional round, primarily targeted towards technical roles such as developers, that aims to filter out unfit candidates based on their coding skills.
    As part of the optional task round, the candidate will be given a home task to solve within a specified Roopalieline, which they will need to complete and send back to the hiring team for evaluation.

  4. 4.

    Management talk

    HR business partner + Department Head / C-Level

    The management round is the opportunity for the candidate to show qualifications and motivation for the role, from a strategic company-fit point of view.
    Moreover, it is an opportunity for the candidate to learn more about the company's culture and vision.
