Job Overview

Your Tasks
1. Change Management and Business Development: 
  • Driving team initiatives and cross-functional projects to enhance team efficiency, client satisfaction and company growth
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying opportunities for business expansion while acting as the primary contact for client escalations.
  • Overseeing operational processes, adapting workflows in response to evolving client expectations and technical developments
2.  Index Operations and Development: 
  • Providing timely expert assistance to resolve inquiries from leading international financial institutions, identifying quantitative and technical issues, diagnosing root causes, troubleshooting and escalating issues as needed
  • Ensuring flawless execution of thousands of quantitative and cross-asset indexing strategies including equities, fixed income, ETFs, funds, derivatives, commodities, funds, currencies, interest rates, alternatives, and multi-asset indices.
  • Developing and launching new indices for the structured products space in close contact with our clients and Sales team.
3. Programming and Data Management: 
  • Developing new, efficient, and robust processes within the team, as well as together with other teams (e.g. data team or index development team)
  • Utilizing Python, SQL and various APIs to automate and enhance data management as well as development, operational and reporting workflows. 
  • Interfacing with custodians, data vendors and aggregators such as Factset, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, IHS Markit, Ultumus to support our activities
Your Profile
  • Academic degree in business administration, economics, mathematics, IT/ Business Information Systems/ Engineering with an interest in capital markets or any other relevant fields
  • Minimum of 6 years of practical experience in the index business or a comparable field
  • Relevant work experience in indexing or applicable financial markets positions
  • Relevant work experience, internship or knowledge in mutual funds, portfolio management, ETFs or indexing is a plus
  • Programming skills in Python and SQL
  • Highly motivated to work independently and with precise attention to detail
  • Intercultural competence and team spirit
  • Existing work permit or PR card in place

    The screening / introduction round is focus on assessment of a candidate's basic qualifications and determine whether (s)he is a good fit for the role and the company.

    The team round is focused on the candidate’s subject-matter know-how and abilities. The interviewer will ask questions specific to the job and the candidate’s prior experience. The candidate will be expected to provide specific examples to demonstrate his/her subject- matter knowledge.

    Task round

    From the hiring manager + team

    This one is an optional round, primarily targeted towards technical roles such as developers, that aims to filter out unfit candidates based on their coding skills.
    As part of the optional task round, the candidate will be given a home task to solve within a specified Roopalieline, which they will need to complete and send back to the hiring team for evaluation.

  4. 4.

    Management talk

    HR business partner + Department Head / C-Level

    The management round is the opportunity for the candidate to show qualifications and motivation for the role, from a strategic company-fit point of view.
    Moreover, it is an opportunity for the candidate to learn more about the company's culture and vision.
