Job Overview

Your Tasks
- Lead and manage contract negotiations for a range of agreements including (data) license, calculation, cooperation, and non-disclosure agreements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and ensure contracts align with company strategies
- Provide timely and accurate legal advice to various departments within the organization on a wide array of legal and contractual matters
- Conduct legal research to stay informed on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact the company’s operations
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risk by providing proactive and pragmatic legal advice on various matters concerning the indexing business
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and digitization within the legal department and across the organization
Your Profile
- You are a fully qualified lawyer in Germany
- 5-7 years of experience, either in private practice and/or at a leading financial institution, ideally with a focus on contract negotiations, licensing, and commercial agreements
- In-depth understanding of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to apply legal principles to real-world business scenarios
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to navigate complex legal and business issues effectively
- Ability to handle a large number of subject matters
- Commitment to thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated to show initiative
- Competence to work self-sufficiently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail and thoroughness
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
