• Lead and manage contract negotiations for a range of agreements including (data) license, calculation, cooperation, and non-disclosure agreements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and ensure contracts align with company strategies
• Provide timely and accurate legal advice to various departments within the organization on a wide array of legal and contractual matters
• Conduct legal research to stay informed on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact the company’s operations
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risk by providing proactive and pragmatic legal advice on various matters concerning the indexing business
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and digitization within the legal department and across the organization

• You are a fully qualified lawyer in Germany 
• 5-7 years of experience, either in private practice and/or at a leading financial institution, ideally with a focus on contract negotiations, licensing, and commercial agreements
• In-depth understanding of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to apply legal principles to real-world business scenarios
• Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to navigate complex legal and business issues effectively
• Ability to handle a large number of subject matters
• Commitment to thriving in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated to show initiative
• Competence to work self-sufficiently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail and thoroughness
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
