Solactive is committed to high standards in benchmark administration in order to foster the quality, reliability and integrity of its benchmarks, as well as to comply with applicable regulatory standards and accepted industry practices. Accordingly, Solactive has developed and implemented a control framework for the design, calculation, maintenance and dissemination of the benchmarks it administers. The control framework and methodologies, policies and procedures, oversight and accountability mechanisms are designed to meet the requirements of the European Benchmarks Regulation (EU BMR) with regard to the EU Climate Transition Benchmarks (EU CTBs) and EU Paris-aligned Benchmarks (EU PABs) and the recommendations made by IOSCO (International Organization of Securities Commissions) in the Principles for Financial Benchmarks Final Report with regard to other benchmarks provided by Solactive.
The EU BMR introduces a number of regulatory requirements in respect of the provision and use of EU CTBs and EU PABs, including a requirement for administrators to be registered with the relevant competent authority. The German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) has registered Solactive as a benchmark administrator under the EU BMR. Solactive appears on the ESMA register of administrators and benchmarks.
In addition, Solactive as an administrator of benchmarks has confirmed its alignment with the recommendations made by IOSCO (International Organization of Securities Commissions) in the Principles for Financial Benchmarks Final Report. The confirmation can be found here.
