FRANKFURT AM MAIN – Solactive is pleased to extend its collaboration with Mirae Asset Global Investments with the launch of the TIGER Global MLCC and Substrate ETF, which tracks the Solactive-KEDI Global MLCC and Semiconductor Substrate Index. The ETF provides exposure to companies involved in semiconductor package substrates and multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) across Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
Semiconductor package substrates provide the interconnection between semiconductor components and circuit boards, while MLCCs are passive components widely used across electronic applications. The index brings these two specialized segments of the electronics supply chain into a single rules-based strategy.
The Solactive-KEDI Global MLCC and Semiconductor Substrate Index selects companies from Japan, Korea, and Taiwan that are constituents of the Solactive GBS Global Markets All Cap USD Index and generally have a total market capitalization of at least USD 2 billion. Eligible companies are screened based on their business activities in areas related to semiconductor package substrates and MLCCs, with all qualifying securities selected and the methodology maintaining at least ten components. Constituents are weighted by free-float market capitalization and capped at 20% each. The index is rebalanced quarterly, with additional monthly reviews for qualifying recent IPOs.
The ETF was listed on 20 October 2026 on the Korea Exchange (KRX) with the ticker code “0255E0.KS”.
Timo Pfeiffer, Chief Markets Officer at Solactive, commented: “We are pleased to extend our collaboration with Mirae Asset Global Investments on this distinctive theme. The focus on semiconductor packaging and specialized electronic components reflects the increasing complexity of the broader technology ecosystem. We are delighted to support Mirae Asset Global Investments with an index solution tailored to this specific market segment.”
Ui-hyeon Jeong, Head of ETF Management at Mirae Asset Global Investments, commented: “As generative AI adoption drives continued investment in AI data centers by global big tech companies, infrastructure bottlenecks are shifting beyond computing and memory semiconductors to substrates, networks, and power components. MLCC and substrate companies are essential to turning AI computing power into working systems, and the global leaders in these industries are concentrated in Japan, Taiwan, and Korea.” He added, "Through the TIGER Global MLCC and Substrate ETF, investors can gain diversified exposure to key companies across all three markets, making it an effective way to participate in the growth of the AI hardware supply chain."
