Solactive announces the following changes to the methodology of the list of indices (the ‘Affected Indices’) at the end of this announcement:

Rationale for Methodology Change

Solactive United Kingdom Benchmark Series aims to track the performance of the Investable segment of
the British market. In recent times, there has been a growing trend of some major UK companies to
choose USD or EUR as the trading currency of their securities instead of GBP to align their trading and
financial reporting currencies. The current index rules of Solactive United Kingdom Benchmark Series
consider only securities trading in GBP in the London Stock Exchanges as eligible for inclusion. The rule is
prohibiting inclusion of some major UK companies that are industry leaders in their own segments. This is
resulting underrepresentation of these industries in the indices, conflicting with the stated index
strategy.
In light of this market reality, Solactive proposes the following amendments to the index guidelines

Changes to the Index Guideline

The following Methodology changes in the following points of the Index Guideline will be implemented

2.1. INDEX UNIVERSE REQUIREMENTS

From:

Only companies trading in GBP are eligible for inclusion.

To:

Only companies trading in GBP, USD and EUR are eligible for inclusion.

If the same share line of a company is trading in multiple eligible currencies (i.e. GBP, USD and EUR),
the GBP listing will be eligible for index inclusion, receiving priority over any other foreign currency. If
there is no GBP listing, the most liquid foreign currency listing will be eligible for inclusion. Once a
foreign currency listing is selected, it is kept in the index if no other foreign currency listing is at least
twice as much liquid in terms of AVERAGE DAILY VALUE TRADED over the preceding 1-month and 6-
month period. However, if a GBP listing becomes available, the GBP listing is chosen over the foreign
currency listing.

Defined terms used in this announcement, but not defined herein, have the meaning assigned to them in the respective index guideline of the Affected Indices. The amended version of the index guideline will be available on the effective date
