Rationale for Methodology Change

The guideline doesn’t specify how we determine the liquidity and select the stock if there are dual listings.

We are adding more clarity on how this is determined.

Overall, we believe this change would materially reduce unnecessary turnover, improve index stability, and better align index outcomes with investor interests, while preserving the integrity of the liquidity selection framework.

Changes to the Index Guideline

The following Methodology changes will be implemented in the following points of the Index Guideline:

From:

On the Selection Days, Solactive AG defines the Index Universe as outlined in Section 4. If the Index Universe contains a local listing and an ADR of a certain company, only keep the most liquid listing.

To:

On the Selection Days, Solactive AG defines the Index Universe as outlined in Section 4.

A switch between listings may occur only if the incoming listing—the listing being considered for inclusion—has a minimum ADVT (defined as the lower of the average and median ADVT across the 1-month and 6-month periods) that is at least 1.5 times greater than that of the outgoing listing—the listing which is a current component and is being considered for replacement. This condition must be satisfied at both the current Selection Date and the previous Selection Date.

Defined terms used in this announcement, but not defined herein, have the meaning assigned to them in the respective index guideline of the Affected Indices. The amended version of the index guideline will be available on the effective date.
