Rationale for Methodology Change

Solactive has determined that a change to the selection criteria of the index methodology is necessary due to operational and tradability constraints resulting from certain index components’ current classification under the Investment Alert category of the Korea Exchange (Article 5-3 of the KRX Market Oversight Regulation).

Changes to the Index Guideline

The following Methodology changes will be implemented in the following points of the Index Guideline (Section 2.2- SELECTION OF THE INDEX COMPONENTS):

Securities listed on the Korea Exchange and flagged with an Investment Alert Issue under Article 5-3 of the KRX Market Oversight Regulation may be excluded from the selection process or considered for extraordinary removal, subject to INDEX COMMITTEE approval. In the case of an extraordinary removal, constituents will be removed from the index based on the closing price on the day of removal and their weight will be distributed pro-rata.

Defined terms used in this announcement, but not defined herein, have the meaning assigned to them in the respective index guideline of the Affected Indices. The amended version of the index guideline will be available on the effective date.
