Acquisition | BALOISE HOLDING AG | 8th December 2025

On April 22, 2025 BALOISE HOLDING AG and HELVETIA HOLDING AG announced a merger of equals to form HELVETIA BALOISE HOLDING LTD, whereby BALOISE will be merged into HELVETIA and its shareholders will receive 1.0119 new HELVETIA shares for each BALOISE share. Shareholder approval was obtained at the Extraordinary General Meetings on 23 May 2025 and further regulatory clearances were announced on 12 September 2025. Following the approvals, the companies agreed the planned closing date of the transaction to be 5 December 2025.

The treatment below will be applied to the following indices:

  • BALOISE HOLDING AG will be removed from the Index.
  • The weight of BALOISE HOLDING AG (BALN.S) based on its last close price will be distributed pro rata to remaining Index constituents.
  • Effective Date (open): 08/12/2025
