Spin Off | MAPLE LEAF FOODS INC COM | 2nd October 2025

On June 11, 2025, MAPLE LEAF FOODS INC COM shareholders approved the spin off of CANADA PACKERS INC. Pursuant to the spin off terms, each MAPLE LEAF FOODS INC COM shareholder will receive, for each common share held, 0.2 of a common share of CANADA PACKERS INC. October 2, 2025, is the confirmed ex-date for the spin off. MAPLE LEAF FOODS INC COM and CANADA PACKERS INC will trade when issued beginning on the record date. MAPLE LEAF FOODS INC COM (MFI) and CANADA PACKERS INC (CPKR) will begin regular way trading on October 2, 2025,
